Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Performs a variety of light and heavy manual tasks in the healthcare environment and supports the maintenance department in completion of daily activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent required. Valid Alaska driver's license required. Certified able to wear a respirator. Customer service-oriented behavior. Ability to operate light power equipment, such as forklifts, lawnmowers, power drills, saws, etc. Willingness to learn how to operate heavy equipment, such as loaders. Ability to receive and follow oral instructions. Ability to work safely and independently with minimal supervision. Must maintain confidentiality including
HIPAA/HITECH
information. Certified for airport driving within first three months of employment. First Aid/CPR within first six months of employment. Completion of
ICS 100, 200
within 90 days of hire.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Performs a variety of light and heavy manual tasks such as: loading and unloading boxes, supplies, and materials from vehicles; movement of similar materials with hand truck and dolly. 2. Assists skilled craftsmen with hospital projects that may include: repair and replacement of drywall and paint, and preventive maintenance. 3. Performs activities to keep the hospital campus clean. 4. Performs seasonal grounds maintenance and care, including snow removal, cutting grass, etc. 5. Performs other duties as assigned.
