Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Sheet Metal Laborer and become a vital contributor to precision fabrication and assembly processes. In this role, you will work with various sheet metal components, utilizing advanced machinery and hand tools to produce high-quality metal parts. Your expertise will help ensure that products meet strict quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical skills in machining, fabrication, and assembly within a fast-paced, innovative setting. Responsibilities Operate and maintain machinery such as press brake machines, CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and electrical discharge machining equipment to shape and form sheet metal components. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to accurately produce parts. Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and other tooling to inspect dimensions and ensure quality standards are met throughout the fabrication process. Set up and program CNC equipment for cutting, drilling, and machining sheet metal with precision. Fabricate sheet metal parts by cutting, bending, welding, assembling, and finishing components according to specifications. Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move raw materials or finished products within the workspace. Conduct quality inspections on finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools to verify accuracy before assembly or shipment. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks that require mechanical knowledge and attention to detail. Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Experience Prior experience working with sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing environments is highly preferred. Hands-on knowledge of operating CNC machinery such as laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC mills/lathes, stamping presses, or press brakes is advantageous. Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings is essential for precise work execution. Basic math skills are necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances. Experience with welding techniques (MIG/TIG), mechanical assembly, or tooling setup is a plus. Ability to use hand tools like calipers, micrometers, hand saws, clamps, and other fabrication tools confidently. Knowledge of safety procedures involving cranes, forklifts, electrical equipment, and machining tools is required for a safe working environment.
