The Laborer provides manual support to keep the plant running efficiently and productively. This role reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and completes essential duties as part of the Maintenance department in assigned areas.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Assists in the hydro-blasting of plant equipment on a daily basis. Cleans up plant process areas on a daily basis. Conducts inspections of equipment's integrity to ensure a safe work environment. Completes the clean-up of hazardous waste spills by vacuum trucks, pump carts, absorbent material, pressure washer, steam cleaner and other means. Works with hand tools to assemble piping. Cleans tanks and vessels by entering confined spaces in a safe manner. Follows all safety procedures and take an active role in personal safety and the safety of those around them. Operates a forklift, manlift, vacuum truck, backhoe, and other heavy equipment to complete tasks as assigned. Performs Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO) and energy isolation as required.Other Functions:
