Job Description

The position of Ag Utility worker is of great significance to Valley Agronomics. A person in this position is responsible for performing daily activities required to keep a manufacturing and commercial retail location operating. Role includes the operation and maintenance of equipment, warehouse and site. Transport agronomy products to and from locations safely, to assure customers are given fast, accurate service. This is a safety-sensitive position.
Job Summary:
These are the basic requirements of the position and must be performed competently. Operate and maintain plant equipment including but not limited to; fertilizer plant equipment, mobile equipment and company tools. Accurately blend fertilizer blends, both liquid and dry, per the blend sheets. Greet customers and assist them with purchasing products. Invoice customers accurately and promptly. Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle and work area. Load and transport products to and from the location. Follow all company and DOT safety rules. Process paperwork accurately and promptly. Record and log equipment in and out. Assist with plant operations and maintenance. Assist in shop as needed. Travel to, and work at or around, other facilities throughout Valley Agronomics as needed. Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
High school or equivalent. Valid CDL driver license Valid Forklift/Bucket loader certification. Basic Mechanic aptitude. Proficiency in safe operation of truck, forklift and bucket loader. Ability to perform arithmetic calculations. Ability to maintain a CDL license. Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
