Job Description

Job Title:
Laborer - 2nd Shift (4-8 Week Contract Only) We also have 1st and 3rd shift available Job Description This role supports operations by safely receiving, unloading, weighing, and staging medical waste for processing in a warehouse environment. You will handle tubs and drums, operate basic material-handling equipment, and ensure that all materials move efficiently through washing and consolidation processes while maintaining a clean and orderly work area. The scheduled hours for this shift are approximately 12:00pm 8:30pm. Responsibilities Receive incoming medical waste and verify that materials are ready for processing. Unload and reload trailers safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment and methods. Weigh tubs and other containers accurately and record weights as required. Dump tubs and place them onto the washer in accordance with established procedures. Perform drum consolidation by combining compatible materials as directed for processing. Place items on conveyors to feed the processing and washing equipment. Inspect tubs and other containers after they come off the washer to ensure quality and cleanliness. Maintain consistent quality control of tubs and materials throughout the workflow. Organize and stage materials in designated areas to support smooth processing operations. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures related to handling medical waste and working in a warehouse environment. Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning work areas, removing debris, and keeping walkways clear. Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and resolve issues promptly. Essential Skills Ability to perform general labor tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Experience unloading trucks and trailers safely and efficiently. Capability to lift, move, and handle tubs, drums, and other containers throughout the shift. Attention to detail when weighing, staging, and inspecting materials. Willingness to work with medical waste while following safety and handling procedures. Reliability in adhering to assigned schedules and completing tasks on time. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfort working around industrial washers, conveyors, and related processing equipment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist in different areas as needed. Basic understanding of workplace safety practices in a warehouse setting. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position operates in a warehouse environment focused on receiving and processing medical waste. You can expect to spend most of the shift on your feet in an industrial setting that may include varying temperatures, odors associated with medical waste, and exposure to noise from equipment. Appropriate attire and personal protective equipment are required to ensure safety and cleanliness while performing all duties. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Santa Ana, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
