Job Title:
Laborer - 2nd Shift (We also have 3rd shift available as well) Job Description This 2nd shift Laborer role supports a medical waste processing operation by safely receiving, unloading, weighing, staging, and preparing waste materials for processing. You will work in a warehouse environment handling tubs and drums, operating along conveyors and washers, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area to ensure an efficient and compliant production process. Responsibilities Receive incoming medical waste and accurately unload materials from trailers. Weigh incoming tubs and other containers to ensure proper tracking and documentation. Stage materials for processing by organizing and positioning tubs and drums in designated areas. Offload and reload trailers efficiently while following safety and handling procedures. Dump tubs and place them on the washer or conveyor systems for processing. Perform drum consolidation by safely combining compatible materials as directed. Place items on conveyors and monitor the flow of materials through the production process. Inspect tubs and materials after they come off the washer to perform quality control checks. Maintain general housekeeping by keeping the work area clean, organized, and free of debris. Follow all safety guidelines and operational procedures while working in the warehouse environment. Essential Skills Experience performing general labor tasks in a warehouse, production, or similar environment. Ability to handle waste disposal activities safely and in accordance with procedures. Familiarity with basic production processes such as loading, unloading, and staging materials. Capability to perform physical work, including lifting, moving, and dumping tubs and drums. Attention to detail when weighing materials and conducting quality control checks. Willingness and ability to work 2nd shift hours from 12:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a medical waste processing or industrial facility is beneficial. Comfort working around conveyor systems, washers, and other production equipment. Strong work ethic and reliability in a shift-based warehouse environment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures. Why Work Here? The work involves standing, walking, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift. You can expect an industrial setting with active equipment, where appropriate protective gear and adherence to safety procedures are essential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Santa Ana, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
