Moves materials using carts, overhead cranes, forklifts, or other methods needed to ensure materials are delivered to required locations for fabrication and welding. Perform such work consistent with the company mission and values and produces a product that meets recognized standards and customer expectations by maintaining Quality and Safety procedures. This is a safety-sensitive position. A safety-sensitive position has been defined as one where the employee's responsibilities impact the health and safety of themselves, coworkers, and/or the public (in this case the end-user of our product). All production and production support positions fall into this category. Essential Functions Must be certified to operate overhead cranes and forklifts Must be able to rig properly Performs duties as assigned by supervisor including but not limited to, cleaning, trash scrap removal, and other production related tasks Support the Crystal Steel Lean Initiative through active engagement and participation in continuous process improvement projects based in Lean Manufacturing Principles Assist in the collection of data, participate in RIE workshops, and contribute to the implementation of solutions, replicate successful improvements, share lessons learned and provide feedback on opportunities for change that will further the continuous improvement process.
