$21/hr Job Description The Driver operates flatbed and box trucks to deliver security blockades and related materials to construction sites, while safely loading and unloading using a forklift and performing general labor as needed. This role combines professional driving, material handling, and hands-on work in an open-air warehouse and active construction environments. Responsibilities Drive a flatbed truck to deliver security blockades and related materials to various construction sites in a safe and timely manner. Operate box trucks and other assigned vehicles as needed to support deliveries and pickups. Use a forklift to load and unload flatbed and box trucks, ensuring secure and balanced loads. Perform general labor tasks related to loading, unloading, staging, and organizing materials in the warehouse and on job sites. Inspect vehicles and forklifts before use, reporting any safety or maintenance concerns promptly. Secure all loads properly to comply with safety regulations and prevent damage in transit. Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and site-specific rules while driving and working on construction sites. Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and site personnel to coordinate deliveries and pickups. Work outdoors at construction sites, including in hot weather and other changing environmental conditions. Maintain a clean, organized truck and work area, and complete basic documentation related to deliveries and equipment use. Essential Skills At least 2 years of professional driving experience with trucks such as flatbed or box trucks. At least 2 years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse, yard, or similar environment. Proficiency in safely operating a flatbed truck for local deliveries. Proficiency in safely operating a forklift to load and unload trucks. Ability to perform physical tasks involved in general labor, including loading and unloading materials. Strong awareness of safety practices in warehouse and construction site environments. Reliable time management and ability to follow delivery schedules and instructions. Ability to work effectively in outdoor conditions, including heat and active construction areas. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in an open-air warehouse or yard environment. Experience delivering to and working around construction sites. Comfort operating different types of trucks, including box trucks and flatbed trucks. Attention to detail when securing loads and handling materials. Good communication skills for coordinating with warehouse teams and site personnel. Work Environment The role is based in an open-air warehouse facility and active construction sites, where you will regularly work outdoors and be exposed to heat and changing weather conditions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Delray Beach, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
