In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, loading, and unloading of freight within our warehouse and distribution center. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, materials handling, and warehouse management systems will ensure smooth shipping and receiving processes. Duties Load and unload freight using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to OSHA safety standards Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately track inventory and order picking processes Safely handle materials during shipping & receiving activities, ensuring proper placement and storage Use cranes and heavy equipment to move large or bulky items efficiently within the warehouse or construction sites Assist with order picking, load & unload operations, and stacking pallets for optimal space utilization Conduct mechanical inspections of equipment such as forklifts and cranes to ensure safe operation Support warehouse distribution tasks by maintaining organized work areas and assisting warehouse supervisors as needed Experience Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments is highly preferred Hands-on experience with order picker machines, forklift operation, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including cranes and construction-related machinery Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory control Understanding of OSHA safety regulations related to materials handling and heavy equipment use Warehouse supervisor experience or leadership roles in similar settings are a plus Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment maintenance is advantageous Join us in delivering excellence through efficient freight handling!
