About us The Elite Mover is a small business in Saint Johns, FL. Our goal is to provide top-notch moving services to a diverse range of clients. As we continue to grow, we are looking to expand our team with experienced movers who share our commitment to professionalism, customer service, and physical fitness. We are looking for people with moving experience, box truck experience, or strong general labor experience who can show up on time, work safely, and deal with customers professionally. Pay $20- $35 per hour Pay is the same whether you are hired as W-2 or approved for 1099 job-by-job work . Tips may be available depending on the job and customer. Work Type We can hire either: W-2 Employee Full-time or part-time available. Part-time may be around 20-30 hours per week depending on business needs. 1099 Independent Contractor Casual, job-by-job work. Jobs are offered as needed. You can accept or decline each job. This is not a guaranteed set schedule. Responsibilities
- Load and unload household goods
- Wrap and protect furniture
- Protect floors, doors, walls, and customer property
- Drive or assist on 16-26 ft box truck moves
- Work with a moving crew
- Follow company move procedures
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Show up on time and ready to work Requirements
- Moving experience preferred
- Box truck driving experience preferred
- Experience with Ryder, Penske, U-Haul, or similar trucks is a plus
- Team lead experience is a plus
- Clean driving record preferred
- DOT medical card preferred or willingness to get one
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift heavy furniture safely
- Professional attitude with customers Strong Candidates Will Have
- 2+ years of moving experience
- Experience driving 16-26 ft box trucks
- Experience leading a moving crew
- Low or no damage claims
- No recent preventable driving accidents
- Reliable helpers or drivers they can refer when needed
