candidates for employment inTALLAHASSEE, FL
warehouse and surrounding areas to deliver and assemble appliances and furniture residentially. Previous appliance/furniture delivery and assembly experienceIS MANDATORY FOR CONSIDERATION OF THE POSITION.
Verifiable previous work experience must be provided.DRIVERS AND HELPERS POSITIONS AVAILABLE
.Duties:
- Familiarity with furniture delivery and assembly
- Loading and unloading freight from the truck each morning and while on the route
- Safely deliver furniture and appliances to customers homes and the room of choice.
- Assemble furniture without damage or incident
- Install and check appliance installations before leaving the home
- Follow delivery instructions and ensure timely and accurate deliveries, keeping in constant communication with the hub, dispatch and the costumer
- Complete all deliveries within the allowed time window
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and paperwork
- Show up in uniform every morning (No exceptions, drivers or helpers out of uniform will be fined)
- Have a working cellphone and camera to take pictures of damaged products, completed work, manifests etc...
- Deliver and assemble appliances residentially without damaging the merchandise or customers home
- Punctuality is extremely important each team needs to be on time to the warehouse every morning and arrive on time to each stop daily
- Work well with others and be respectful to partners and customers
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass d background check
- Verified experience driving a 26ft box truck with lift-gate or larger with a proof of reference
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items, bend, stand, walk and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 200lbs with assistance of a partner and tools
- Ability to work 6 days per week
- Ability to work with others (each truck has a driver and helper)
- Excellent time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries and on-time arrival to the hub each morning
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers in a professional manner as well as dispatch and the hub Please note that this position is 1099 for all that apply
