Summary Play a critical role in keeping operations moving efficiently and safely across our facility. As a Shipping & Receiving Laborer, you will support all aspects of loading, scanning, pullbacks, lift operations, yard jockey activities, and stack-off processes to ensure products are handled accurately and delivered on time. You will help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment across assigned areas, including the pallet washroom, offal room, and pallet yard. This role is ideal for a dependable, safety-focused team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in supporting operational excellence. This position is located at our Cook facility in Perry, Georgia.
Schedule :
1st Shift Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ensure all products are loaded and meet Perdue processes, product standards, and job requirements to maintain a consistent level of quality. Ensure all drain weights are completed as directed by management. Ensure meat needed for production lines is delivered in a timely and acceptable manner. Work safely and adhere to all safety requirements, including the use of personal protective equipment. Prevent and report unsafe acts and conditions. Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the supervisor. Minimum Education and Experience Strong reading, writing, communication, analytical, and math skills. Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn SAP/CFS to monitor and transfer daily inventory. Preferred Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent. Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors Ability to work for 8 hours or more in a stationary position or travel on wet, moist, dry, or greasy floors, including metal or plastic grating surfaces, with up to 4 hours in a single interval. Ability to work from various types of ladders and stairs. Exposure to temperatures below -40 degrees and up to 75 degrees with ambient humidity. Exposure to noise levels up to 110 dB and light intensity ranging from 50 to 100 foot-candles. Ability to bend, twist, lift up to 50 lbs., reach, sit, and grasp, depending on job requirements. Exposure to chlorinated water (50 ppm), ammonia vapors (5 ppm), dry ice, caustic detergents, lubricating oils, hydraulic oils, and other chemicals commonly found in a poultry processing plant.
