Summary A laborer performs a variety of duties and tasks in support of plant operations.

What we do:

SMS group is an industrial equipment manufacturer for the steel industry. We design, build, and service equipment and sleep plants across the globe with a strong technical services/machine shop network in North America. The right candidate will Performs clean up, removal of trash, coolant, oil, scrap, chips, etc. Daily, weekly, monthly, custodial duties Moves equipment, and parts using the fork truck, crane, or other material handling equipment Assists other employees as directed by management or group leaders Completes paperwork Keeps work area, tools and equipment clean and orderly Reports and/or corrects all unsafe conditions immediately All other assigned duties What you'll need High school diploma or GED preferred Reading / Writing skills (literacy) as required Ability to lift up to 50lbs What we offer Competitive compensation Medical/Dental/Vision coverage starting after 30 days Paid vacation 10 paid holidays 401K with a company match Paid lunches Paid internal metatarsal boots and all other PPE Training Crane and Rigging Training Forklift Operator Training Tuition reimbursement program and more!
