Job Description
Overview The selected individual will work with a wide variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to, installing, repairing, and maintaining City of Jasper owned property, including, streets, rights-of-way, signage and safety devices, storm sewers, and storm sewer inlets. Assist in trash and recyclable collection, traffic control flagging, transporting supplies and equipment to work sites, maintenance of vehicles, emergency snow removal, and operate paint machinery and equipment. Applicant must be capable of driving and operating heavy duty trucks, trash collection trucks, snowplow equipment, mowers, and operate other machines and equipment in the daily operation of the Street Department. High school diploma or GED is required. Current CDL drivers license holder preferred. New employees will be required to pass and maintain a valid Indiana Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class "B" minimum, Class "A" preferred. The City of Jasper can provide Entry Level Driver Training for new hires.
