Position Needed:

A self-motivated candidate to fill our Laborer position.

Position Hours:

Monday - Friday 7:45 am to 4:30 pm, and Saturday 7:45 am - 12:00 pm

Job Description:

Greeting and assisting customers with unloading their scrap materials. Ensuring customer and employee safety is the #1 priority. Maintaining an organized and safe work area for customers and employees. Identifying ferrous and non-ferrous metals and grading accordingly. Identifying hazardous and non-metal materials. Prepping various metals through use of various tools and machines for processing. Operate heavy equipment such as a fork-lift (Training will be provided, if needed). Must adhere to all company safety and operation policy guidelines.

Qualifications:

Must be able to handle all weather environments. Previous scrap yard experience a plus. Forklift Experience Previous experience with various equipment and hand tools. Knowledge of various ferrous & non-ferrous metals. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. Team player with professional work ethics. Basic mathematical skills. Basic computer skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Must be able to demonstrate attendance dependability and consistency. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Compensation:

Paid, on-site training. We offer competitive pay which includes overtime opportunities, weekly pay by direct deposit, and paid holidays. Benefits after 90 days include Paid Vacation Time and Health, Vision, & Dental Insurance options. Scrap Management LLC is a drug-free workplace and conducts pre-employment and random testing as a condition of employment.
