Position Needed:
A self-motivated candidate to fill our Laborer position.
Position Hours:
Monday - Friday 7:45 am to 4:30 pm, and Saturday 7:45 am - 12:00 pm
Job Description:
Greeting and assisting customers with unloading their scrap materials. Ensuring customer and employee safety is the #1 priority. Maintaining an organized and safe work area for customers and employees. Identifying ferrous and non-ferrous metals and grading accordingly. Identifying hazardous and non-metal materials. Prepping various metals through use of various tools and machines for processing. Operate heavy equipment such as a fork-lift (Training will be provided, if needed). Must adhere to all company safety and operation policy guidelines.
Qualifications:
Must be able to handle all weather environments. Previous scrap yard experience a plus. Forklift Experience Previous experience with various equipment and hand tools. Knowledge of various ferrous & non-ferrous metals. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. Team player with professional work ethics. Basic mathematical skills. Basic computer skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Must be able to demonstrate attendance dependability and consistency. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Compensation:
Paid, on-site training. We offer competitive pay which includes overtime opportunities, weekly pay by direct deposit, and paid holidays. Benefits after 90 days include Paid Vacation Time and Health Insurance options. Scrap Management LLC is a drug-free workplace and conducts pre-employment and random testing as a condition of employment.
