Delivery Driver Helper

Responsibilities Support delivery drivers by helping load, unload, and organize packages in the vehicle using equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary. Assist with the manual handling of heavy items, ensuring safe lifting techniques are followed to prevent injury. Navigate routes efficiently alongside the driver, helping to load and unload deliveries at multiple stops throughout the day. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers professionally, answering basic questions, and ensuring their satisfaction upon delivery. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries and pickups, including route logs and delivery confirmations. Follow all safety protocols during loading, unloading, and route driving to ensure a secure working environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Experience Prior experience in delivery driving or courier services is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn! Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading/unloading procedures and equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks. Hands-on experience with commercial driving, especially operating box trucks or similar vehicles with manual transmissions. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely throughout the workday. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with route driving is a plus.
