Duties may include:
  • Maintaining Trails, Brush Mowing, Weed Whacking, pruning and clearing debris where needed
  • Brush cutting
  • Manage invasive species
  • Mowing meadows & cemeteries
  • Building, repairing boardwalks, footbridges and picnic tables
  • Holiday event prep and other special events
  • Field Painting, trash removal, watering & fertilizer grounds
  • Assist with park repairs
  • Assist conservation staff on projects as needed
  • Other miscellaneous projects as needed 1625 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE

Required:
Valid MA Class D driver's license. Ability to operate Town vehicle, ability to lift heavy objects, work in all weather conditions, follow oral and written instructions; operate landscaping power equipment (i.e. weed-whacker, mower) push mower, string trimmer. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willing to learn basic plant identification skills. Must be 18years or older.
Work Environment:
This work will be performed physically in the outdoors, in all weather conditions in areas with poison ivy, mosquitoes, ticks, bees, dense brush, etc. Prior to appointment; candidates may be required to undergo a state
CORI/SORI
background check and a pre-employment physical and drug screening test. These costs are covered by the Town. $16.50/hour, no benefits.
