Job Description

Greg Davis Landscape Services, Inc., Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, needs 4 temporary (11/16/26 - 03/30/27) and full-time Snow Removal Laborers to work at various jobsites in Wayne, Macomb and Oakland counties of Michigan. Operate snow removal equipment such as snowblowers and shovels in order to remove snow from residential and commercial properties. Apply salt or other ice control applications. Cleanup jobsite. Maintain and service snow removal equipment. Install and uninstall Christmas lights and other holiday decorations. No experience requirements. No education requirements. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work outdoors during cold and snowy weather conditions. OJT provided. $25.66p/h, overtime wage rate of $38.49, overtime including weekend work may be available but is not guaranteed, general schedule of 40h/w, 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri. In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business. At the employer's sole discretion, applicants may be offered higher than the advertised wage or possibly an end-of-season bonus, due to factors including experience, merit, attendance, attitude, and/or skill. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wage due. Workers will be paid on a bi-weekly basis. The employer will make all deductions from workers' paychecks that are required by law. No deductions not required by law will be made. If relocating for the position, the cost of transportation and subsistence to the place of employment will be reimbursed, if half of the employment period is completed. This reimbursement will be calculated by the exact cost of the transportation expense by airplane or bus fare, as well as subsistence expenses calculated at the minimum amount of $16.78 per 24-hour period of travel and the maximum amount of $68.00 per day. Return transportation and subsistence will be provided if the employment period is completed, or if dismissed early. The employer will provide daily transportation to and from the jobsite. The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees that are to the benefit of the employer. All tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job will be provided to workers at no charge. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period.
