Assignment Length:
Seasonal - Now through September/October Personnel World is seeking reliable and hardworking General Laborers to support grounds maintenance and outdoor operations at a local facility. This is a hands-on, outdoor role ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining clean, safe, and organized work environments. Position Overview The General Laborer supports daily grounds maintenance and site operations. This role requires strong attention to safety, the ability to work independently, and a willingness to perform physical tasks in all weather conditions. Key Responsibilities Operate equipment such as water trucks, Gators/side-by-sides, hydro-seeders, tractors, and other machinery Perform pre- and post-trip inspections; maintain and clean equipment Walk the property and surrounding areas to collect debris and maintain cleanliness Collect and record data using paper forms or electronic systems Shovel dirt and assist with seeding and erosion control materials Assist with placement of piping and materials in trenches Support general site upkeep and grounds maintenance Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Valid driver's license required Ability to operate pickup trucks and off-road vehicles safely Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain) Basic math skills (measurements, volume, percentages) Ability to read, follow instructions, and communicate effectively Skills & Abilities Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Strong attention to safety and awareness of surroundings Reliable with consistent attendance Team-oriented with a positive attitude Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment Physical Requirements & Work Environment Frequent walking on uneven terrain Regular lifting up to 80 lbs Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching Exposure to moving equipment, dust, fumes, and loud noise Work performed primarily outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind) Schedule & Expectations Start times as early as 5:30 AM Overtime expected Occasional Saturdays required #IND1
