Summer Seasonal Laborer Charter Township of Washington, MI Washington, MI Job Details Temporary | Seasonal | Full-time $17 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description Charter Township of Washington Department of Public Works Seasonal Laborer Job Posting Notice Seasonal Laborer The Charter Township of Washington Department of Public Works is accepting applications for Seasonal Laborers to assist with ground maintenance, parks maintenance, and public works operations during the summer season. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age, possess a valid Michigan Driver's License, and maintain a satisfactory driving record. Candidates must be available to work Monday through Friday during normal business hours. This is a seasonal, temporary position with no benefits.

Pay Rate:

$17.00 per hour - Max 29.5 hours a week

Hours:

Monday thru Friday7:00 am to 3:30 p.m. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties may include, but are not limited to: Mowing and trimming Township properties, parks, and rights-of-way. Assisting with landscaping projects, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and spreading mulch. Maintaining Township parks, pathways, playgrounds, and public facilities. Painting fire hydrants, signs, benches, and other Township infrastructure. Repairing and maintaining park amenities and public grounds. Assisting with road, drainage, and utility maintenance projects. Laying topsoil, seeding, and replacing sod. Operating hand tools and power equipment, including shovels, rakes, string trimmers, hedge trimmers, and blowers. Loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment. Assisting full-time DPW employees with special projects and seasonal maintenance activities. Picking up litter and debris from Township properties and roadways. Performing other related duties assigned. Working Conditions This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Employees may be exposed to dust, noise, equipment vibration, and traffic hazards while performing assigned duties.
