Full-Time; Monday - Friday; 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Penmac Staffing is hiring for a Driver Helper position with a local nonprofit organization. This is a full-time, short-term opportunity that could extend beyond the initial assignment based on business needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, working as part of a team, and helping with the collection and transportation of donated items.

RequirementsAbility to lift and carry 50-100 pounds on a regular basisNo lifting restrictionsAbility to load, unload, and move large items such as furniture and appliancesStrong customer service skills when interacting with donorsDependable attendance and punctualityAbility to work in both warehouse and delivery environmentsClass E driver's license preferred for driving responsibilitiesAbility to safely operate a box truck when assignedResponsibilitiesAs a Driver Helper, you will assist with the pickup and transportation of donated items while supporting warehouse operations as needed.

Job duties include:

Riding along with drivers to pick up donations from residential and commercial locationsLoading and unloading building materials, household goods, appliances, and furnitureSafely moving donated items into trucks and warehouse areasAssisting with sorting and organizing inventory in the warehouseHelping maintain a clean and safe work environmentOperating a box truck on an as-needed basis for qualified driversFollowing safety procedures while handling heavy or bulky itemsInterested candidates are encouraged to apply online or contact the Penmac Springfield office for more information.
