Job Description

Who We Are:
Watkins Distributing is a family owned and operated beverage distribution company that has serviced Idaho and Montana for four generations.
Job Summary:
Driver helpers are responsible for helping with local delivery activities within a defined territory. This position provides delivery support for the truck route serving Sidney and Glendive. Reliable transportation is required. Either a company vehicle will be provided, or mileage reimbursement will be paid for use of a personal vehicle.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist delivery drivers with delivering product in a safe, timely, and professional manner Unload product from delivery vehicles using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and proper handling techniques Deliver and move product into customer locations, including navigating stairs, tight spaces, and varying environments Stock coolers, shelves, and displays at customer locations at time of delivery Rotate product in accordance with company standards Pick up and return empty kegs and damaged product as assigned Assist with verifying deliveries and completing required documentation Communicate effectively with delivery drivers, sales representatives, supervisors, and store personnel Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times Perform all duties in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner in accordance with productivity standards Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills & Abilities:
Valid driver's license and no major driving violations. Strong time management, attention to detail, and communication skills. Must be able to navigate a hand truck full of product. Ability to utilize standard hand-held computer input/output devices. Physical Demands & Work Environment Must be able to lift and move cases ranging from 20 - 30 lbs. regularly and 160 lbs. to waist level. Tasks include bending, squatting, reaching, and standing for extended periods. Work independently across multiple retail locations throughout the shift. Operate delivery vehicle safely in frequently varying weather conditions.
