Position Overview:

FCI is excited to invite applications for a Plant Production - Manufacturing Worker at our Parkton Dry Fertilizer Plant. This role is essential to our production team, where you will ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Loading and Unloading:

Efficiently load and unload freight trucks and railcars with dry fertilizer products.

Equipment Operation:

Operate skid steers, loaders, and forklifts safely and effectively.

Bagging Station Management:

Operate the fertilizer bagging station and assist in managing the bagging line, ensuring quality and efficiency.

Customer Relations:

Maintain positive relationships with customers through excellent service.

Workplace Maintenance:

Keep the work area, grounds, workstation, and warehouse clean and organized.

Waste Management:

Properly dispose of trash, cardboard boxes, and chemical jugs in designated containers.

Product Handling:

Bag various dry products and apply labels accurately.

Minor Repairs:

Use tools and wrenches for minor repairs and maintenance tasks.

Safety Compliance:

Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

Licensing:

Valid NC Driver's License and eligibility to work in the U.S.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Skills:

Strong reading, writing, and basic math skills.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Experience:

Agriculture background is a plus.

Work Hours:

Willingness to work extended hours, especially during the summer months.
