Job Description

Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Sucker Rod Prep Technician to join our expanding operations. In this role, you will prepare, inspect, clean, handle, and stage sucker rods and related equipment for our customers in the Bakken oilfield. This is a hands-on yard/shop position critical to minimizing downtime for production operations. Key Responsibilities Inspect, clean, and prepare sucker rods, couplings, and related tubular goods according to industry standards and company procedures. Unload, load, and handle sucker rods safely using proper equipment (forklift experience a plus). Build and stage rod orders for timely delivery to well sites. Identify and document defects such as pitting, wear, bending, or damage. Maintain a clean and organized yard/shop environment. Follow strict safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques, PPE usage, and handling procedures. Assist with inventory tracking and general shop/yard tasks as needed. Work effectively as part of a team to meet customer deadlines. Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous oilfield or sucker rod experience strongly preferred, but we will train motivated candidates with mechanical aptitude. Ability to lift up to 75+ lbs and stand for extended periods in varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one. Strong safety orientation and attention to detail. Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check (we maintain a drug-free workplace).
