- Open and close tanks/confined spaces
- Clean and/or pressure wash tanks/confined spaces to make Safe For Entry, Gas Free, and/or Safe For Hot work
- Set up various equipment for job requirements; Pneumatic pumps, hoses, ventilation for confined spaces, power washing machines, lighting
- Set up Shipboard services such as fresh water, compressed air, sewage
- Tanks/confined spaces hold various different liquids or material.
Requirements:
- Must be comfortable in tight quarters (some tanks are very small or difficult to navigate) people prone to claustrophobia not recommended
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Perform under pressure in deadline-based work environment
- Safety conscientious
- Detailed oriented
- Must have the ability to climb up and down stairs and/or ladders of varying heights
- Must be physically and medically qualified to wear required personal protective equipment
- Must be able to comply with all Safety rules
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Additional:
- Full-time position
- Normal work hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (1 hour meal break included)
- Work will be inclusive to environments both indoors and outdoors at all times of the year.
- Overtime as required
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
- Pay commensurate with experience.
- Bilingual a plus
