Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Furniture Delivery Driver/Helper, where your energy and dedication will drive our mission to deliver exceptional service to our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting furniture and large items, assisting with loading and unloading, and ensuring each delivery is handled with care and professionalism. Whether you're navigating city routes or helping with heavy lifting, your contributions will make a real difference in people's lives. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles with manual transmissions to deliver furniture to residential and commercial locations. Load, secure, and unload furniture using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary. Assist customers with the placement and setup of furniture upon delivery, providing excellent customer service throughout the process. Plan efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals while maintaining safety standards on the road. Load and unload items from the truck, handling heavy lifting and moving large or bulky items with proper technique. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including receipts, delivery logs, and route records. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or helper with a focus on furniture or heavy goods. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients. Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmissions. Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; certification is a plus. Ability to lift heavy items repeatedly while adhering to safety protocols for moving and heavy lifting. Knowledge of route driving best practices for efficiency and safety on busy roads.
