Overview Join our dynamic team as a Furniture Delivery Driver/Helper and become a vital part of bringing comfort and style to our customers' homes! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for delivering furniture safely, efficiently, and with a friendly attitude. Your day will be filled with exciting route driving, heavy lifting, and helping customers enjoy their new furniture. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles with manual transmission to deliver furniture across designated routes. Load and unload furniture items using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring items are secured during transit. Assist customers with the delivery process, including moving furniture into homes or designated locations with care and professionalism. Verify delivery orders, gather signatures, and ensure all items are accounted for before completing each route. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection reports to ensure compliance and safety. Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols during route driving to ensure timely deliveries without incident. Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Experience Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred, especially with furniture or heavy loads. Demonstrated customer service skills that foster positive interactions with clients during deliveries. Warehouse experience including load & unload procedures, forklift operation, or pallet jack handling is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is ideal. Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely; familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous. Knowledge of route driving best practices combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently. Previous experience in commercial driving or courier services that involved load securement and safety compliance will set you apart.
