$22/ hour American Gypsum Company LLC has been manufacturing, selling, and distributing gypsum wallboard products for over half a century, servicing the drywall industry with quality products that are sold throughout the United States.

JOB SUMMARY

American Gypsum is currently accepting applications for our Summer Laborer Program , a maximum 90-day temporary employment opportunity for relatives of current employees . This role offers a hands-on experience in our wallboard manufacturing facility, supporting plant operations through essential housekeeping and general labor work.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be at least 18 years old Must be a relative of a current American Gypsum employee Ability to follow instructions and work safely in an industrial environment Steel-toe boots required (PPE such as hard hats, gloves, and safety glasses will be provided.) Must be able to lift/ move up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

PRIMARY DUTIES

SAFETY Operate in a safe manner, following all plant and departmental safety rules and procedures. Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times Keep away from mobile equipment and interaction with operating machines.

OPERATIONS

Perform housekeeping duties throughout the plant Sweep, shovel, and remove dust and debris from mill areas and production floors Clean work areas and walkways to maintain safety and cleanliness standards Assist with general labor tasks as assigned by supervisors Other duties as assigned by the management.
