$15.00 Employees being promoted to a higher classified position receive the minimum for the position or a pay rate adjustment of 8% whichever is greater. All regular positions also entitle the employee to several benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement which is largely paid by New Mexico Tech for the employee and dependents.

    JOB SUMMARY:
    Performs a wide range of tasks of a manual and unskilled nature.
    JOB FUNCTIONS
    Digs holes, and trenches, shovels dirt, and cleans ditches. Mixes and pours cement, smothers/finishes concrete. Set up and tear down scaffolding, concrete forms, and similar structures. Mops, brushes/spreads paint, and other protective coatings over surfaces, caulk joints, and seams. Assists in building stud walls, metal buildings, and other structures, and assists carpenters, plumbers, and electricians. Other duties as assigned.
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Read and comprehend instructions, write information and complete simple forms. High School (or GED) level ability in spelling, grammar, composition and math.
