Job Description
Great Lakes Boiler is a small boiler repair company based in Galion, OH, who provides service to Columbus, Cleveland, and Youngstown. Great Lakes Boiler is seeking a General Laborer to join our team and help us repair and install boilers for our commercial and industrial clients. As a General Laborer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the proper functioning and safety of boiler systems. As a General Laborer, you will be involved in various tasks related to boiler repair and installation, including:
- Assisting in repairing and installing boiler systems, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the field
- Supporting maintenance efforts by cutting, grinding, and welding boilers and pressure vessels, learning essential trade skills
- Assisting in removal and replacing of boiler tubes
- Utilizing hand and power tools like hammers and drills to complete assigned tasks effectively.
- Basic boiler control troubleshooting
- Completing additional duties as directed
- Anticipate hot environments in boiler room Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, or a strong desire to learn and develop these skills
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces, and standing or kneeling for extended periods in hot environments
- Successful completion of a drug screen upon pre-employment Schedule
- A typical work week is Monday - Friday, 50 hours per week. Some weekend work will be available.
- Our service area extends from Cleveland to South of Columbus.
