Job Description

3rd shift: 11pm-7am
Purpose of Position:
The Paint Clean-Up GAPP supports the success of the Paint Department at MTNA by performing daily paint line cleanup and assisting with routine, light maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. Essential Job Functions Perform daily cleaning of paint lines, both interior and exterior, including: Mopping floors and work areas Stripping and re-tacking conveyor shrouds and booths Cleaning conveyors, load bars, and booth surfaces Skimming booths and cleaning windows Assist with periodic preventive maintenance (PM) activities such as booth pumping and fan cleaning Conduct light maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs, greasing bearings, and performing minor repairs Safely operate a forklift to transport cleanup materials and containers Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times Collaborate with team members and support department needs as required Experience and Knowledge Self-motivated with a positive, team-oriented attitude Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Willingness to work weekends or overtime as needed Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, and handling cleaning equipment and chemicals Forklift experience or willingness to become certified Completion of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training required Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Basic mechanical aptitude Time management and task prioritization Safety awareness and compliance
