Overview Join our dynamic environmental services team as a Temporary Environmental Services Staff / Laborer and play a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and well-organized facilities. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas using commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and scrubbers to maintain high standards of sanitation and appearance Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures during cleaning and sanitation tasks Conduct custodial duties including trash removal, surface disinfecting, restroom sanitation, and floor care to ensure a hygienic environment Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting projects, and general upkeep to support building operations Operate cleaning machinery including floor buffers and other specialized equipment with attention to safe lifting practices and proper usage guidelines Support industrial cleaning projects by managing heavy lifting tasks and ensuring compliance with safety protocol adherence Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to facility needs and assisting staff or visitors with cleanliness-related inquiries or requests Moving furniture Assembling furniture Operating HVAC - Boiler Maintaining visual safety of premises Requirements Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred; familiarity with commercial or industrial cleaning practices is a plus Ability to handle chemical agents safely following established safety protocols for chemical handling safety procedures Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, or industrial vacuums is desirable Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and prolonged standing or walking Knowledge of safety protocol adherence related to facilities maintenance and custodial work Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation standards and cleanliness excellence Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset; ability to work independently or as part of a team This position offers an engaging environment where your efforts directly contribute to the safety, cleanliness, and overall well-being of our facilities.
