Midwest Terminals operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Employees may work 8- to 12-hour shifts based on operational needs. Weekend work may be required during the shipping season.

Job Duties:

• Safely transfer liquids between trucks and railcars using pumps, hoses, and other necessary equipment.
• Ground maintenance tasks such as painting, cleaning, organizing, fueling equipment, washing equipment etc.
• Operate and maintain liquid transfer equipment (pumps, hoses, valves, etc.) to ensure the efficient and safe movement of liquids.
• Accurately document the transfer process, including quantities, dates, and any discrepancies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Perform general labor and other material handling duties as assigned.
• Perform all functions in accordance with operation and safety guidelines
• Maintain regular communication with supervisors and co-workers to ensure that the correct materials are moved at the right time and to the correct location

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid Driver's License required
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations
• General understanding of material handling and equipment operations (training provided)
• Promote safe work habits
• Ability to work well as part of a team to achieve job objectives efficiently.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions including heat, humidity, rain, snow and cold
• Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Able to perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, stooping, standing, and reaching
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing, as part of our drug-free workplace policy.
