Job Summary The function of an Operating Laborer is in the performance of manual and physical duties. In the performance of his/her manual duties, a laborer may be required to use shovels, scoops, hand trucks, other material handling devices and cleaning equipment. He/she is required to follow instructions and comply with all regulations pertaining to fire and safety hazards. This opening is for second shift (3:00PM - 11:00PM) Monday - Friday This position qualifies for a $2,000 sign-on bonus Essential Responsibilities Clean totes and wash drums. Clean floors, walls, ditches and production areas in general. Paint walls, railing, ladders, equipment, etc. Clean storage and process vessels. Repair broken pallets. Clean powder trays. Load scrap and deposit drums onto trucks. Prepare and load hazardous waste drums onto trucks. Unload new steel and fiber drums. Clean process equipment (cooling towers, scrubber systems, hammermills, flakers, dust collectors, filter, etc.). Yard work. Seasonal snow removal Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment (Chemical manufacturing preferred) Physical Requirements Manually lift up to 50lbs Operate a forklift Occasional climbing of ladders Standing/walking/working >60% of the shift We offer a competitive salary and benefit plans focused on the well-being of our employees.
