Job Description Summary This positions' general purpose is to break down empty totes, separating the good and bad totes, hand stacking cases on to the pallets according to customer specifications, and by assisting the cold room personnel for breaks and lunches. Job Description Hand stack (palletize) finished product cases pallets. Monitor product codes on the outside of the box, to ensure the best legibility. Monitor overall case condition for tears and/or signs of product leakage. Break down empty production totes and band sets of totes together to be shipped. Ensure Case Erector staging area is full at all times. Maintain cleanliness of work area. Operate controls to dump totes of product into hoppers. Flex to other jobs as needed to cover for rest and meal periods. Other duties as assigned
Basic & Preferred Qualifications Skills and Experience:
No prior work experience required Ability to carry out instructions effectively and efficiently. Ability to work on any shifts, including weekends. Ability to work overtime. Able to follow lockout-tagout and safety procedures Able to maintain awareness of personal actions and surroundings to ensure safety of self and others.
Physical Environment/Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 12 hours per work day to include: loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells and allergies Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures. Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment. Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to temperatures ranging from
