Full Job Description Position Summary:
You will operate our fleet of heavy mobile equipment to keep material moving safely and efficiently through the yard. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role in an industrial recycling environment. Key Responsibilities Operate forklifts, front-end loaders, shears, and material handlers (Fuchs, Sennebogen, Komatsu and similar) Load and unload trucks, railcars, barges, and containers Move, sort, and stage ferrous and non-ferrous scrap Perform daily pre-shift inspections and report defects immediately Follow all yard traffic, lockout, and safety procedures Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized Requirements Documented forklift experience (minimum); experience on loaders, shears, or material handlers strongly preferred Ability to work outdoors in all weather and lift up to 50 lbs Valid driver's license Reliable attendance and a strong safety mindset Willingness to join Laborers' Local Union 57 On-the-job familiarization with Fuchs, Sennebogen, and Komatsu machines is provided for operators who already have solid forklift and heavy-equipment fundamentals.Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 60.0 per weekBenefits:
