Pay:
From $18.50 per hour Job description:
Pay RateShift Information Pay Rate:
Starting at $18.50/hour , but a higher rate may be considered depending on experience. 3rd
Shift:
The regular shift will be from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM .
Location:
Transfer, PA Summary of Position The Laborer will primarily focus on visually inspecting, transporting, and packaging the final product in accordance with customer specifications. Essential Functions Adhere to plant and department safety rules, safely operate all equipment and tools, and identify and report safety problems (correcting them when possible). Transport material from production through final packaging, via forklift or other manual and mobile equipment. Load and unload material for shot blast operations or other value-added services. Package materials into drums, Gaylords, boxes, or super sacks per customer specifications, including adherence to weight specifications. Identify product through labeling and stencils . Perform visual quality inspection of product. Unload trucks with incoming materials. Maintain a clean work environment . Perform miscellaneous functions as needed in various departments. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. 2-4 years of experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment preferred. Competencies Experience operating forklifts preferred. Must have attention to detail , including basic math skills, with the ability to add and subtract accurately. Proficient in the basic use of a computer to facilitate the entry and completion of work orders. Able to use basic hand tools . Must be able to multitask with shifting priorities and multiple interruptions. Must be willing to work shifts and overtime as needed, including 12-hour shifts. Physical DemandsWork Environment Physical Demands Must be able to frequently reach overhead, bend/stoop, push/pull, twist, stand, walk , and perform repetitive hand movements. Must physically be able to frequently lift and/or carry up to 35 lbs . Frequently required to operate a forklift and hand tools. Work Environment Works primarily in a manufacturing environment . Exposure to dust, flames, water, and extreme heat and cold . Occasional exposure to vibrations and noise .
