Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Delivery Driver specializing in furniture and large items! In this energetic role, you will be the friendly face representing our company, ensuring customers receive their orders promptly and with exceptional service. Your expertise in driving and handling bulky items will help us deliver on our promise of quality and reliability. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your driving skills with physical activity, making each day rewarding and engaging. Moving furniture through out the day Duties Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles with large items across designated routes. Load and unload furniture using heavy lifting techniques, or moving equipment, ensuring items are secured for transit. Navigate route driving efficiently, adhering to schedules while maintaining safety standards on the road. Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients with their deliveries, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience. Verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and document all delivery activities accurately. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, and report any mechanical issues promptly. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in a similar transportation role involving furniture or bulky goods. Strong customer service skills to ensure friendly interactions and resolve any concerns professionally. Warehouse experience is a plus for understanding loading/unloading procedures and inventory handling. Proficiency in driving commercial vehicles such as box trucks with manual transmissions. Ability to lift heavy furniture safely and efficiently; familiarity with heavy lifting equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks is advantageous. Knowledge of route planning and route driving to optimize delivery schedules. Experience operating moving equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
