Job Purpose To provide general plant clean-up and utility services under daily direction. This is a temporary position with a maximum of 90 days of employment. A maximum of 40 hours per week worked on weekdays (Monday - Friday). In this position you will have the opportunity to: Perform all duties in accordance with safety and environmental rules and regulations. Perform general clean-up and utility duties under daily direction from supervisor, including but not limited to: sweeping floors cutting/mowing lawns raking grass picking up trash trimming bushes painting cleaning equipment, etc. Perform other duties as necessary and as assigned by supervision. What do I need to be successful?
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to demonstrate clear, effective radio communication to coordinate with team members Knowledge of general plant clean-up and utility functions. Time management skills. Ability to read, understand and perform all safety rules and regulations. Education & Experience Must be at least 18 years of age at the time employment begins. Preference will be given to candidates who are currently in and/or enrolled in college coursework or a skilled trades program for the Fall 2026 semester. Preference will be given to students who are children of LP employees. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the role will also be considered. Work Environment Primarily outdoor work performing general grounds and maintenance activities. Exposure to varying hot and cold temperatures and changing weather conditions. Exposure to dust, dirt, and other outdoor elements. The role may involve physical activity such as bending, lifting, standing, siting and/or walking for extended periods, as well as working near moving machinery. Ability to see and hear approaching or moving equipment to ensure safe operation. Information at a Glance
