Paint Line Laborer Job Description Join our team as a Paint Line Laborer on the 2nd Shift, from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday. You will primarily work within the deburr, powder coat, and finishing department, utilizing a range of hand and small power tools. Responsibilities Safely remove burrs and create edge breaks using hand tools and small power tools. Inspect part dimensions to ensure adherence to blueprint specifications and identify any quality issues. Read and interpret blueprints to verify that configurations meet requirements. Utilize measuring equipment such as gauges, scales, and calipers. Pretreat, clean, mask, prime, and powder coat a variety of parts as needed. Assist with material handling work, including manual lifting. Load parts correctly onto the line for maximum line capacity. Apply plugs and tape onto parts. Work with a grinder to prep materials to be welded on. Assist with sanding, grinding, and deburring steel components and materials. Manually move materials within the facility. Participate in cross-training in the machining department, assisting with machine setups and loading/unloading materials and finished products. Maintain housekeeping and area upkeep. Perform various production and labor-intensive tasks throughout the day. Essential Skills Proficiency with hand and power tools. Experience deburring and grinding parts. Experience in a welding/fabrication environment. Mechanical aptitude. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with paint preparation and racking. Experience with heavy lifting and material handling. Capability to assist as a machine helper and in general production settings. Ability to read blueprints. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
