Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Yard Laborer to join our team and contribute to efficient waste management and recycling operations. This position will operate at our Auto Salvage division. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the safe and effective handling of recyclable materials and waste around our salvage yards . Your energetic approach will help maintain a clean, organized outdoor work environment while adhering to safety and environmental regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, operate heavy equipment, and play a vital role in sustainable waste management practices. Duties Operate material handling equipment such as loaders and forklifts Assist with the loading and unloading of recyclable materials, waste, and other debris in compliance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols. Perform general cleaning tasks around the yard, including sweeping, debris removal, and sanitation to uphold a safe working environment. Follow all safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation, hazardous materials handling, and environmental compliance. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently to safeguard yourself during outdoor work activities. Qualifications Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, or forklifts is highly preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety protocol adherence during all operations. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately in outdoor work settings.
