About the Role Busy Austin family (we also run a residential home-building business) seeking a reliable, organized family assistant to keep our household and errands running smoothly, with some light support for the business. Each day includes a mix of household upkeep, errands, and property-related tasks. This suits someone who likes variety, works independently, and takes pride in keeping things in order — not a desk job.

Daily Duties Kitchen reset:

hand-wash and load/run dishwasher, wipe counters Tidy common areas: collect dishes and bottles, run robot vacuums, vacuum stairs and spots the bots miss, wipe down surfaces and shelves Gather trash and recycling from kitchen and bathrooms; break down boxes; take to outdoor bins Weekly / Scheduled Duties Laundry twice weekly, bed resets, etc. Trash bins to street & back; recycling bins to street & back every other week Friday mail run to our office Errands & Business Support Prescription pickups, paperwork deliveries to vendors, item returns Light upkeep checks at homes we have listed for sale (dusting baseboards, cleaning exterior lights, making sure everything shows well) Job-site runs: deliver fixtures and packages, drop off lockboxes and signs, take photos and measurements, get keys copied Place and return plumbing, electrical, and lighting orders; sort and organize incoming fixtures by property Get estimates from new vendors Drive a family member to appointments Requirements Valid driver's license, clean driving record, current auto insurance, and reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed for work errands) Background check required Organized, trustworthy, and self-directed — you'll have keys and real responsibility Comfortable with basic computer tasks (online ordering, email) Comfortable making phone calls Details Long-term role — we're looking for someone who wants to stay and become part of how our household runs
