Position Summary The Encampment Trash Removal Crewmember is responsible for assisting with the removal of trash, debris, and discarded materials from encampment and outdoor areas. This position supports cleanup operations by maintaining safe, clean, and sanitary environments while following all company safety procedures and operational guidelines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collect, remove, and dispose of trash, debris, and discarded materials from assigned areas. Assist with loading and unloading materials, supplies, and waste items. Operate basic cleanup tools and equipment safely and properly. Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Identify and report hazardous materials, unsafe conditions, or safety concerns to supervisors. Maintain assigned vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean and working condition. Work as part of a team to complete cleanup assignments efficiently and professionally. Follow directions from supervisors and support operational needs as assigned. Maintain professionalism and respectful conduct while working in public or sensitive environments. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in labor, grounds maintenance, custodial, sanitation, waste removal, or outdoor work preferred. Ability to safely perform physically demanding work for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions. Basic communication and teamwork skills. Physical Requirements Prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting. Frequent lifting and carrying of materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to push, pull, and move equipment and waste containers. Ability to work in outdoor environments with exposure to heat, cold, dust, odors, and uneven terrain. Work Environment This position primarily works outdoors and may involve exposure to trash, debris, biohazards, sharp objects, insects, and other environmental conditions commonly associated with cleanup operations. Proper PPE and safety procedures must be followed at all times. Work Schedule Regular schedule is Monday through Friday during first shift; work schedule may vary based on operational needs.
