Duties Safely operate a 26ft box truck while adhering to all traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load, secure, and unload furniture using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks Assist customers with the delivery process, ensuring proper placement and setup of furniture in homes or businesses Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with company policies Use mobile devices or GPS systems to navigate routes efficiently and deliver on time Load and unload items carefully, practicing safe lifting techniques to prevent injury during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and incident reports as needed Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver or helper with warehouse experience preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving commercial trucks or box trucks highly desirable Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles comfortably Experience with warehouse operations, material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks), and moving heavy items safely Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safe lifting practices in weight handling environments Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during deliveries Ability to pass a comprehensive background check for trustworthiness and safety compliance Physical stamina for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting, bending, and moving furniture repeatedly Join our team today if you're ready to deliver outstanding service while enjoying the camaraderie of a dedicated crew!
