Job Description

At Brightmore Brands , we're all about sustainability and making a difference. We run a network of thrift stores that include EcoThrift, Texas Thrift, Unique Thrift, and MyThriftStores across California, New York, New Jersey, Minnesota, Texas, Oklahoma, Virgina, Delaware and Maryland. Every day, we sort through over 231,000 pounds of items to help keep usable goods out of landfills. By reselling and recycling apparel, we reduce waste and help fund important social causes. Our mission is to create a more sustainable retail system that's good for the planet and gives back to the community. Job Summary The Driver Helper supports Brightmore Brands' donation collection operations by assisting Drivers with safe, timely, and efficient pick-up, delivery, and servicing of donation sites, boxes, and materials. This role contributes directly to the company's mission of sustainability and reuse by ensuring donations are handled with care, sites remain clean and presentable, and donors receive exceptional service. Duties and Responsibilities Provide friendly customer service to donors and the public Help maintain donation sites, trailers, and collection areas Assist with donation pick-ups, events, and special collections Help move, place, and remove donation containers and equipment Load and unload donations, supplies, and materials safely Organize and secure items during transport Keep donation sites clean and presentable Complete basic paperwork and report site issues when needed Report damaged equipment, safety concerns, or overflowing sites to management Follow company safety guidelines and use required protective equipment Assist with minor equipment issues and notify leadership of repair needs Maintain clean and organized work areas, vehicles, and tools Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required Experience in warehouse, trucking, delivery, or donation collection environments preferred. Skills and Abilities Basic knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to follow company safety guidelines Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to safely lift, load, and unload materials Ability to assist with routes, directions, and site locations Experience handling and organizing items safely and efficiently Ability to identify and report equipment or site issues Strong attention to cleanliness and organization Ability to adapt and problem-solve in changing situations Physical and Scheduling Requirements Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs. Perform a physically demanding role that requires making 25 to 50 stops per day for pickups and deliveries. Must be able to sit for extended periods while driving routes and maintain alertness and focus on the road. Requires regular physical activity in outdoor and warehouse environments, including exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and weather conditions.
