Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and attentive AMHS Spotter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding and assisting truck drivers during loading, unloading, and route driving operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, awareness of safety protocols, and the ability to operate various types of commercial vehicles and equipment. The AMHS Spotter plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient freight movement and maintaining safety standards across our logistics operations. Duties Signal material lift, man lift and scissor lift operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of large parts and materials. Provide awareness to workers regarding safety hazards prior and during work operations. Highlight potential obstructions in the work areas. Control foot traffic passing near, in, and around work zones. Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards, while following all waste handling guidelines. Erect and disassemble scaffolding, ladders, safety barricades, guardrails and corply bullet proofing. Load, unload and identify building materials, equipment and tools and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications. Act as a watch when metal, plastic or aluminum cutting is performed by craft workers in cut shop. Expedites materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work sites. Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various housekeeping activities. Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Performs other duties as required. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Able to perform some support tasks with close supervision/direction and support. Must have the ability to read and interpret instructions and documentation. The degree of job responsibilities and requirements may vary depending on months of experience.
