This position is responsible for loading, unloading, moving, sorting, and staging freight while helping ensure shipments are handled safely and efficiently. This is an entry-level opportunity, and previous warehouse or freight-handling experience is not required. Training will be provided. The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Load freight, boxes, pallets, and other materials onto trucks and trailers Unload incoming shipments and move freight to designated areas Sort and organize freight according to shipment requirements Verify package counts, labels, and basic shipment information Stage outgoing freight for scheduled pickups Move materials safely between receiving, storage, and shipping areas Assist with arranging freight to maximize available space Inspect shipments for visible damage during loading and unloading Report damaged, missing, or incorrectly labeled freight Use carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as needed Assist with receiving and organizing incoming shipments Keep loading docks, staging areas, and workspaces clean and organized Follow proper lifting techniques and workplace safety procedures Communicate with warehouse and transportation team members regarding daily priorities Assist with general warehouse tasks during busy periods Perform other freight-handling duties as assigned Requirements Previous warehouse or freight experience is not required High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required Ability to safely lift and move freight and packages Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work Strong attention to detail and safety Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Reliable attendance and punctuality Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment Positive attitude and willingness to learn About the Position The Freight Loader plays an important role in keeping warehouse and shipping operations running smoothly. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys active, hands-on work and wants to gain practical experience in freight handling, loading and unloading, warehouse operations, shipping, and logistics.
Pay:
