Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our supply chain team. In this vital role, you will orchestrate the seamless movement of goods, manage inventory levels, and optimize warehouse and transportation operations to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency. Your proactive approach will help streamline processes, enhance supply chain performance, and support our commitment to exceptional service. Duties Coordinate and oversee daily logistics activities including shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and warehouse distribution to ensure smooth operations. Manage inventory control processes by monitoring stock levels, conducting cycle counts, and implementing inventory management best practices. Collaborate with procurement teams to support sourcing activities, negotiate freight rates, and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL). Utilize ERP systems such as AS400 or other warehouse management systems (WMS) to track shipments, process orders, and analyze supply chain data for process improvement. Oversee warehouse operations including materials handling, packaging, picking & packing, and shipping & receiving procedures. Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics coordination, or related roles with familiarity in inventory management and warehouse distribution. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Hands-on experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills for collaborating across departments including procurement, operations, and external partners such as freight carriers or NVOCCs (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers). Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail in order fulfillment and shipping schedules.
