Refer a Friend Back to Search We are partnering with a growing automotive manufacturing organization seeking a Production Planner to support production scheduling, inventory management, and customer fulfillment activities. This role will work closely with operations, customer service, purchasing, warehousing, and supply chain teams to ensure products are produced and delivered efficiently while maintaining high service levels. Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Scheduling Develop and maintain production schedules to support customer demand and operational objectives. Coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to balance production requirements, capacity, and inventory needs. Monitor production performance and adjust schedules as needed to support changing priorities. Inventory Management Manage inventory levels to support customer service goals while minimizing excess inventory. Monitor inventory accuracy and identify opportunities to improve inventory performance. Investigate and resolve system or transaction issues that could impact production or shipments. Customer Service & Order Fulfillment Collaborate with customer service and operations teams to ensure on-time delivery performance. Communicate production schedules, order status updates, and potential supply challenges to key stakeholders. Assist in resolving customer-related supply or scheduling concerns. Capacity Planning & Operational Support Support production capacity planning efforts and identify potential bottlenecks. Work with operations teams to proactively address production constraints and improve efficiency. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning and scheduling processes. Systems & Data Management Maintain accurate planning and production data within ERP systems. Generate reports and analyze data to support decision-making and planning activities. Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and system utilization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in production planning, inventory planning, scheduling, supply chain, or manufacturing operations. Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience is a plus. Strong Microsoft Excel and overall Microsoft Office skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, production planning, or inventory management environments. Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
